Garnituri tip grafoil

Preformed gaskets

Grafoil type rings

Grafoil type rings are manufactured using a specific technology, from graphite by centrifugation or compression molding. What is characteristic of these type of rings is their small section and small tolerances when fabricated small dimensions.

They are manufactured according to the application and can be with radial tightening or axil tightening.

Grafoil type rings are part of the mechanic sealing category of products and come in different shapes: rectangle, square, triangular, trapezoidal, chamfered edges, rounded edges, etc.

Working conditions:

  • Temperature under maximum continuous operation: +450ºC (+650ºC – in steam)
  • pH working fluid: 0-14

Preformed graphite gaskets

Graphite sealing sets

Preformed gaskets are manufactured from graphite using a specific technology, compression molding.

They can be simple or reinforced, having a thin stainless steel plate and used in industrial valves gland sealing packages.

Depending on working conditions and the height of the stuffing box, Grafex sealing packages come in different shapes. What is specific for these packages is that at both ends they have anti-extrusion rings made by compression packings type Grafex GS-01, GS-04, GA or sandwich construction from graphite with stainless steel and in the interior a variable number of preformed graphite rings.

Working conditions:

  • Temperature under maximum continuous operation: +450ºC (+650ºC – in steam)
  • Maximum pressure: 300 bar – simple version ; 1500 bar – reinforced version
  • pH working fluid: 0-14

Graphite lamellar gaskets

This type of gaskets is specially designed in order to resist to the hardest working conditions that involve equipment/ machines that function under high pressures and temperatures.

They are used mainly with energy industry valves. In this type of valves, the body-bonnet assembly is a “uncompensated surfaces” joint type, self-energized under working pressure. Depending on working conditions, lamellar gaskets are manufactured using a special technology, in various shapes, simple or reinforced, with or without protection ring.
